Just an FYI for anyone who may be wondering, if you player is trying out for the Polar Kings program you will still need to register with WMHA or the Hockey association in your area, there are fees for both registrations. Please feel free to reach out to either WMHA registrar Kaylea at wmha.registrardirector@gmail.com or Layne Sandberg @ 780-806-0210 with the Polar Kings Association for any further information you may need regarding the polar kings program. ![]()

Wainwright Parks and Recreation would like to announce that baring Covid restrictions we will be putting one ice surface back in early for next season for the public to utilize. As of July 12th the ice in the Encompass Credit Union Arena will be available for use. ![]()

HHC & NLHP will be running summer programs out of the facility as well as the annual Polar King Hockey School is already planned for August 9th-14th. There will be some exciting opportunities to take part in including sponsored public skating and shinny as well rental opportunities for groups to utilize.![]()

Unfortunately we have reached 10 covid cases within the M.D and are now in an Enhanced Measure Zone. 😢All hockey will shut down starting tomorrow.There are now ten (10) active cases of COVID-19 in the M.D. of Wainwright.![]()
Please note that the new measures for Enhanced Status communities will remain in place until at least December 15, 2020. The M.D. along with all of the communities within have now been placed on the Enhanced Status list.![]()
